It looks as if Shane Dawson has made an appearance after taking a break following a string of public controversies.

The YouTuber has since made an appearance in his fiancé Ryland Adams’ latest clip on the video sharing website, titled Our Bedroom Makeover Reveal.

In the video, Shane appears at the very beginning as Ryland plans the camera towards him.

‘Oh, this is scary!’ Shane then says, as he refers to his recent haircut.

The star notably did not address any of the recent accusations made against him, although he did make reference to the many ‘hate comments’ he has received on YouTube over the years.

In the video, Ryland and Shane detail the process behind their bedroom makeover, before giving followers a tour of what it now looks like.

Shane has not been seen online since an Instagram livestream on June 30, after he released a video apologising for using blackface and racial slurs in the past.

He said: ‘Blackface was something that I did a lot. Like, I did it a lot on my channel. There’s no excuse for it, there’s literally no excuse.

‘I made a video six years ago talking about it and I gave excuses. I knew it was wrong, I knew I never wanted to do it again, but I didn’t do the work. I didn’t actually look into the history of it and why it’s so wrong, and why people were upset.’

Shane, 31, insisted that he doesn’t have ‘hate for any race’ or any people, but understands some of his jokes ‘went way too far’.

In the midst of this, he was also caught up in a row with Jaden Smith, and was accused of sexualising his younger sister Willow when she was 11 years old.

A video surfaced on Twitter which showed Shane looking at Willow on a Disney poster while pretending to masturbate.

He also appears to sexualise the lyrics to Willow’s hit single Whip My Hair was he says ‘Whip your hair back and forth’ in the clip.

Jaden and Willow’s mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, responded by tweeting: ‘To Shane Dawson… I’m done with the excuses.’

While Jaden commented: ‘SHANE DAWSON I AM DISGUSTED BY YOU.

‘YOU SEXUALIZING AN 11-YEAR-OLD GIRL WHO HAPPENS TO BE MY SISTER!!!! IS THE FURTHEST THING FROM FUNNY AND NOT OKAY IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT.’

The backlash deepened when fellow YouTuber Tati Westbook uploaded a video accusing Shane and his close friend Jeffree Star of ‘gaslighting’ her into making her video ‘exposing’ James Charles last year.

Shane lost a million subscribers in the two weeks following the controversy, according to Social Blade.

He also had all of his monetisation removed from his content by YouTube.
