After she was busted for flouting lockdown rules with a lavish party for her 30th birthday, Rita Ora is reportedly launching a probe to find out how the news got out.

The singer, who was blasted by Piers Morgan, thinks one of her friends exposed her party to the police, according to a report.

An insider told The Sun: "Rita's transgression coming to light has left her humiliated, not to mention potentially out of pocket, as she's agreed to pay a £10,000 fine once it's issued.

The source went on to claim that the pop star's close pals have been telling her that it could have been someone who wasn't invited to the party who alerted the authorities.

"Some of her closest confidantes have been getting in her ear suggesting someone on the guest list with a guilty conscience or a scorned friend who didn't make the cut may have dobbed her in."

The actress hosted the party at the Casa Cruz restaurant in Notting Hill, West London, on Saturday, 28 November, with 30 guests invited.

"It was meant to be a secret, but the fact police and photographers knew it was happening has really made Rita paranoid," the source explained.

"She's now devising a game plan and setting traps in a bid to expose the whistleblower, like Coleen did in the Wagatha Christie drama."

Rita, who has revealed her at home beauty regime, took to Instagram to issue a lengthy public apology for going against lockdown rules.

"Hello all, I attended a small gathering with some friends to celebrate my 30th birthday," she began.

"It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and this would be OK.

"I'm deeply sorry for breaking rules and in turn understand that this puts people at risk.

She continued: "This was a serious and inexcusable error of judgement. Given the restrictions, I realise how irresponsible these actions were and I take full responsibility.

"I feel particularly embarrassed knowing first-hand how hard people have worked to combat this terrible illness and being fully aware of the sacrifices that people and businesses have made to keep us all safe.

"Even though this won't make it right, I want to sincerely apologise," Rita concluded.
