Priscilla Presley is reportedly facing a legal battle against late daughter Lisa Marie Presley's trust after claiming she has been written out and replaced.
Priscilla's daughter Lisa Marie, the only child of rock legend Elvis Presley, tragically passed away at the age of 54 after suffering from two cardiac arrests two weeks ago.
At the time, Priscilla, 77, paid a heart wrenching tribute to her at her public service at Graceland, where she said: "Our hearts are broken. Lisa we all love you."
According to the New York Post, new legal documents have allegedly now been filed by Priscilla, 77, which show her challenging an amendment to Lisa Marie's trust.
Legal papers seen by the publication claimed that Priscilla has “discovered” a disputed document seeking to remove her and former business manager Barry Siegel as co-trustees of her daughter’s Promenade Trust. The origins of the alleged amendment were not clear from the 2016 filing.
The change eliminated Priscilla and Barry Siegel as trustees, with her grandchildren Riley and the late Ben Keough replacing the duo.
Priscilla reportedly claimed in the documents that an "inconsistent" signature was used to rubber stamp documents meaning she was eliminated from her trustee role.
OK! has contacted Pricilla's representatives for comment.
The papers claim Lisa Marie’s signature “appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature”.
Prior to her death, Lisa Marie accused Seigel of mismanaging her assets.
But it's reported Priscilla now wants to make the change invalid and return as a trustee as she has questioned the authenticity of the change.
The legal filing reads: "Lisa Marie Presley appointed her mother, Petitioner, and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-Trustees effective as of the date of the 2010 restatement.
"The 2010 restatement further provides that Petitioner and Barry Siegel shall continue to serve as co-Trustees upon Lisa Marie Presley's subsequent incapacity and/or death.
"There are many issues surrounding the authenticity and validity of the Purported 2016 Amendment."
Lisa Marie, the sole heir to her father Elvis Presley, executed a living trust in 1993, a legal mechanism for protecting one's assets and determining how they will be distributed after they die, according to the American Bar Association.
According to the court filing, the trust was "completely restated" on 27 January, 2010, and appointed Priscilla Presley and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees.
