Let’s face it, Myleene Klass knows a thing or two about turning up the temperature.

She stunned fans during her stint on I’m A Celeb with that waterfall shower in her white bikini – but how will she fare on ice in Lycra and sequins?

Hi, Myleene! A little bird told us you’re no stranger to the ice…

I have two daughters who are obsessed with ice skating. We live really close to an ice rink, so they both skate, but my role is to tie the shoe laces and hold the coats.

Was that a reason for wanting to sign up?

Definitely. I think any parent will appreciate that you spend the early years of your children’s lives teaching them how to use a knife and fork, but all of a sudden there comes a time when you’re like, “Hang on, I don’t want to be the one who gets left behind.”

The girls must be so excited…

They’re over the moon. It’s been such a difficult year, so it means everything to be doing something so positive that they can look forward to.

How do you feel about learning ice skills?

I’m a mum of three, a stepmum of two, when else would a mum like me get the chance to learn a new skill and be able to walk away from it with a bum like J.Lo’s? That’s the real reason I’m here!

What skill are you most looking forward to learning?

I want to be able to do that move where you spin, stop and spray the ice. I’m that person who will hold the sides and even passing kids because I just can’t stop.

Any fears?

Oh, I’m terrified of all of it! I’m terrified of my piano fingers getting rolled over. I feel protective over my fingers. Having said that, I love the fact that I’m going to walk away with a new skill, new butt and fabulous wardrobe!

Second to this, what’s the scariest thing you’ve done?

When I did the jungle and they locked me in a coffin.

How are you feeling about being judged?

I’m just going to get on board with whatever they say. I haven’t got a clue what I’m doing. I am so out of my comfort zone.

Anything you’re looking forward to?

I’m all about the costumes, the music and being thrown about in the air. I want to try the stunts!

Dancing on Ice is on Sunday, 6pm, ITV
