It is tradition for the outgoing First Lady to do a walk through of the White House residence with the new, incoming First Lady as they transition to new presidencies. Michelle Obama invited Melania Trump for a walk through of the White House living quarters in January of 2017, when Trump was sworn in, despite Trump questioning the citizenship of her husband, former President Barack Obama.

Now, a report has emerged from CNN confirming the traditional walk through will not be happening between Melania Trump and incoming First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden.

Melania Trump will become the first modern first lady not to invite the woman who will replace her to the White House for a walk-through of the private living quarters on the second and third floors,” CNN reports. A report emerged last week suggesting the current First Lady had not reached out to Dr. Biden yet.

The inauguration of President Elect Joe Biden and Vice President Elect Kamala Harris will take place this coming Wednesday (January 20) in Washington, DC.
