Izzy Judd, wife of McFly star Harry Judd has opened up about the ‘tricky’ birth of their third child.
On Monday 11 October the couple announced the happy news on Instagram that they had welcomed a baby born, Lockie.
A week later, the 37 year old has shared more of her birth story with her 297,000 followers on Instagram.
The mother of three uploaded a photo in her hospital bed wrapped in a pink black with her son swaddled on her chest. Fresh faced, Izzy beams at the camera after the birth as her mid-wife crouches down near them smiling through a mask.
Izzy captioned the happy photo: “This is Lucy, our unbelievable midwife who not only guided me through a quick labour and a trickier birth as Lockie was back to back, but has also been there for me since Lola’s pregnancy, answering all my questions and easing my anxieties.
“I had another brilliant midwife called Claire and along with Harry, together they created the most amazing circle of support in my most vulnerable place."
She thanked her midwives for their support and shared her gratitude that her third child was born into the “safest and kindest hands”.
Izzy continued: “The moment Lucy walked in the room last week I knew I was in the safest and kindest hands.
“My anxiety absolutely peaked and the overwhelm was very intense. Lucy comforted me with words, lavender and an aura of strength and compassion.
“Lucy I am so grateful and feel so very lucky to have had you by my side. How do you begin to say thank you?
“Is there a midwife you want to say thank you to, leave their name in the comments to show our appreciation for all the wonderful midwives!”
Fans and friends have flooded the comment with thanks to their own midwives, with many calling them “phenomenal” and “amazing" people.
The happy couple are also parents to five year old Lola and four year old Kit.
The musicians shared a sweet family photo to Instagram of the moment Lola and Kit met Lockie for the first time.
Izzy has also been sharing snaps showing the reality of motherhood and balancing three children.
In a snap on Instagram, Izzy is seen breastfeeding Lockie as he rests on a pillow in her lap as she reads a bedtime story to Kit.
The super mum captioned the photo: “Well that was a different kind of bedtime tonight…
"Whilst I was feeding Lockie and reading to Lola, Kit wanted his own story in his own bed with mummy, how to spread my arms 3 ways!
“One day at a time is going to be my motto for the foreseeable!!”
Harry and Izzy married in 2012 after dating since 2005 when Izzy joined the McFly tour as a violinist.
