Married At First Sight stars Marilyse Corrigan and Matt Murray have taken their romance to the next level after meeting each other's families.

The new flames, who starred on separate seasons of the popular E4 show, looked blissfully happy as they shared a photo from their road trip to meet Matt's family in Huddersfield, then Marilyse's in east Yorkshire.

Marilyse wrote on Instagram: "Road trip! Matt's family today, my family tomorrow".

Her followers were quick to show their support for the couple, with one writing, "I love you two together", and another adding to Matt, "Marilyse is such a good look on you. You look brighter in your face and certainly a nicer happier guy than we saw on our screens".

However, not all their fans were as gushing, with one saying: "Come on guys they are just doing this for social media. They are both just in it for the gram, not real."

Their budding romance has accelerated since the pair jetted off on holiday together in October, when they denied at the time that they were anything more than friends.

Quashing rumours of a romance, a spokesperson for both stars previously put any romance rumours to rest.

They told OK! : "There’s no romance, Marilyse has gone to recover from a marathon which she ran for Kidney Research recently and she’s celebrating with her son that it's a year since donating her kidney to save his dad’s life.

"Matt has gone to recover from the trauma of the show, as you’ll have seen last night it’s taken a toll on his emotional wellbeing. Marilyse knows oh too well how the public reaction can impact the mental health of the men on the show as she saw how it impacted [her husband on the show] Frankie.

"So she’s being nothing more than a supportive friend to him whilst other friends from the show are filming the Christmas reunion.”

However, less than a month later they went Instagram offical with a snap of them locking lips on a glamorous night out.

Confirming their romance, a spokesperson for the pair explained: "Since their holiday their friendship has developed and their relationship has blossomed naturally, they are both extremely happy and are grateful to all the supportive comments they've received so far."

It was recently announced that Matt had opted out of doing the MAFS Christmas reunion, as he deals with personal issues including his mother's cancer diagnosis.

Matt left his first wife Gemma Rose on the show to find love with Whitney Hughes, before admitting at the show's reunion that they had later broken up too.

Speaking about his decision to skip the upcoming reunion, a source told the Mirror : "He didn’t want to relive the emotional turmoil from the series.

"He’s spent time working on himself, recovering from the heartache he’s felt during the series and wrapping his head round his mum’s diagnosis."

They added: "So he's chosen to focus on family and his own mental health.”
