With the eighth series of Love Island finally set to reach its climax tonight, last year’s runner-up Chloe Burrows has spilled the beans on the Islanders’ finale speeches.

The famous scenes see the remaining couples declare their love for one another in a romantic speech after getting dressed up to the nines.

And now Chloe has told us just how they compose those speeches after going through the experience in 2021.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, the 25 year old, who is still coupled up with her co-star Toby Aromolaran, revealed that the girls have just half an hour to write the speeches and have to use their phones.

She said: “Us girls were at the spa and we had about half an hour to get ready to go back to the villa and we had to write the speeches on our phones, so we were just banging them out.

“They told us in the morning that we were going to write them but nobody could think what they were going to put.”

Chloe went on to explain one of the ITV2 show’s producers helped her with her words, and that the boys got longer to write theirs compared to the girls.

She continued: “I'm quite bad with my words and I hate public speaking so I sat down with a producer to help me write it.

“The boys were in the villa and they were writing their speeches all day which I didn't think was fair. Toby's was really heartfelt and mine was a bit of a shambles!”

So heartfelt was Toby's that during last year's prom night he was in tears during his speech as he asked Chloe to officially be his girlfriend.

Chloe squealed before saying yes after telling Toby during her speech: "I wanted to find someone coming into this Villa but I didn’t expect to find someone as amazing as you.”

The couple have recently been plagued by split rumours from fans, but the pair have been shutting down the reports with appearances on After Sun with Love Island host Laura Whitmore, as well as a romantic trip to Jamaica earlier this year.

The pair seemed more loved-up than ever on their trip, while Chloe also took to TikTok to hit back at the rumours.

She captioned the clip: “How do people still ask if we together” alongside text on top of the video which read: “Me literally telling you I’m still with Toby…”

O2 has opened Swim for Sims, the world’s first swim-up mobile phone shop at Casa del Lago, Menorca to help holidaymakers switch contracts and save on data roaming fees whilst abroad this summer. Former Love Islander Chloe Burrows will be on hand to help visitors roam freely, thanks to O2.
