Love Island star Malin Andersson has revealed she contemplated suicide after the death of her newborn daughter Consy.

Consy sadly passed away just four weeks after she was born prematurely.

She was born at the end of last year, arriving seven weeks early, but was kept in a facility at at the children’s hospital following complications, and the reality star confirmed Consy tragically died shortly afterwards, with an emotional message on Instagram.

However Malin has revealed that as she spent Consy’s final days with her, she began ‘collecting tablet’s because she didn’t want to live in the world without her baby girl.

‘When she passed away, I locked myself away for about three weeks. I just drank wine every night, I didn’t want to speak to anybody,’ said Malin.

‘I was too scared to touch her, because of the wires and everything.

‘I was slowly collecting tablets because I was thinking, “if she’s going to go, f***, I’m going too because what else have I got to live for here? I haven’t got a family to go back to”.’

Malin spoke candidly on Kate Thornton’s podcast White Wine Question Time and was joined by pal and Big Brother winner Josie Gibson who said: ‘I cried so much for you.

‘Because we were sharing our stories the whole way through, and then… I didn’t sleep for two nights. I was so upset for you. ‘

Sharing details of Consy’s passing, Malin wrote on Instagram: ‘Completely in love with you… And my Mum just wanted you to be with her.

‘Your time wasn’t ready yet. Mummy loves you. I stayed with you each day. You opened your eyes one last time for me and I saw those beautiful big brown eyes.

‘I’m so sorry I couldn’t do anymore. Go be with grandma Consy. My angel. Rest in peace CONSY GLORIA EMMA ANDERSSON-KEMP 23/12/18-22/01/19.’
