BBC Breakfast favourite Louise Minchin took to social media to unveil her latest look, which stunned her followers. The TV presenter even caught the attention of her co-star Dan Walker, who cheekily joked he “missed” her previous look.
The 52-year-old appeared delighted with her new locks, as the mum-of-two shared a before and after snap.
It comes as salons across England opened their doors again to customers after being shut as part of the third national lockdown in the UK amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A photo captured the broadcast journalist sporting a mask as she posed for a mirror selfie.
In the first snap, Louise could be seen prepped and ready to undergo her hair transformation, as she sported messy blonde tresses.
The second photo highlighted the TV anchor’s finished results as she showcased a neatly cut fringe, with her hair in layers and a slightly shorter length.
In view of her 204,000 Twitter followers, Louise captioned the post: “Before and after #phew #lockdownlocks are gone!” followed by a scissor-emoji.
Her colleague Dan was one of the first to react to his co-star’s transformation, as he took a cheeky jibe at the Breakfast presenter.
Sharing a photo of Louise’s hair looking windswept and unkempt, he penned: “I miss this already,” followed by a laughing emoji.
However, others gushed over Louise’s appearance as they complimented the broadcaster.
One wrote: “I was only thinking this morning how great your hair looked long! But you haven’t had much off so your is still great! I bet your pleased. I approve.”
Another commented: “Loved the locks, but even after they have been ditched, still as beautiful.”
“Fab Louise, feared the chop but it really suits you and looks great long. Keep up the good work and also keep @mrdanwalker in check,” a third remarked.

Louise regularly shares selfies ahead of her appearance on BBC Breakfast, often mocking her and Dan’s hairstyles.
Last month, the Breakfast host uploaded a candid photo of the presenting duo with their ‘dos looking somewhat dishevelled before their morning programme.
In a side-by-side photo of their messy locks, Louise wrote: “Good morning. The lockdown locks are going magnificently well here on #BBCBreakfast How are yours?”
Viewers shared their dismay, as one wrote: “I’m about two days away from just shaving it all off. This was when I got up, I brushed it and it just makes it worse.”
“Such a nightmare – no way am I posting a photo! Counting down to seeing my hairdresser, 1 week, 4 days and 4 hours,” another penned.
