Kim Kardashian has spoken out about her split from American rapper Kanye West for the first time during the first episode of the new series of The Kardashians.

The power couple split in 2021 after being together for eight years and since then, Kanye has been slammed for alarming behaviour including vile racist outbursts in a series of tweets.

Kanye, 45, also once praised Adolf Hitler admitting he "sees good things" in the Nazi leader during an interview with US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Kim ,42, has previously maintained a silence on her ex and cited concerns for their children as her reason for not speaking out.

However, in the series three premiere of The Kardashians, she addressed her ex-husband's actions.

The episode kicked off with Kim with explaining how she has suffered from anxiety attacks and psoriasis flare-ups due to stress caused by Kanye.

Kim also shared that her ex Pete Davidson was harassed by Kanye and she also claimed Kanye's behaviour will be more "damaging" to her children than her sex tape.

Kim said: "Even just how he looks down on me for my tape and brings it up all over town, all over the media. Like, thanks for reminding people once again.

"All of his shenanigans — I don't even know what the f*** to call it — is gonna be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be."

As the episode continued, Kim admitted she feels "a lot of guilt" for the way that Kanye treated her ex Pete.

Viewers at home heaped praise on mum-of-four Kim for speaking out about the situation. One fan said: "Kim did a good thing talking about Ye first episode because this is everywhere on Twitter more views for their show."

"She is right 100% and it's important she actually said it out loud," said a second.

Yet another fan supported the reality star by saying: "She's gonna get backlash for that but she's totally right."

One fan wrote: "She's right what he has done and said about Jewish people and many other things the last few years IS more damaging."

They continued to say: "I agree with her. He has said some horrible horrible things that I think are much more damaging than knowing your parent made a sex tape.

"While most people's sex tapes are not made public, a lot of people do make them."

The Kardashians has returned for its third season today with episodes being released weekly through Hulu in the US. They will be available on Disney+ in the UK.
