Put it away, Olly!

Was anyone else as traumatised as I was by Olly Murs’ Pringles stunt? He put his willy in the tube to trick his girlfriend!

Can you imagine if I did something like that? Seriously, if I got a popcorn box, stuck all my knickers in there and told Ryan to fish around for a treat – would people find that funny?

Don’t get me wrong, Olly is a prankster and known for his cheeky humour, but come on mate! Keep it between you and your missus.

My Molly says the vid is part of a trend on TikTok, but Olly’s a respected musician – you don’t need to film your other half reaching into a box of Pringles to touch your bits. Surely we’re not that bored!

Battling the blues

I know people worry about me, so I wasn’t surprised by the big reaction when I posted last week that I was having a bad time. The truth is I did have a horrible couple of days feeling incredibly low for various reasons, none of which were helped by the fact we’re still in lockdown.

Just to let you know I’m feeling much better, though I take things day by day. I have a lot on my plate, what with running a house, homeschooling the kids and taking the financial hit of losing my Easter panto job because of this pandemic. I’m sure many people can relate.

I was surprised to hear Andrea McLean has suffered with her mental health too, and admitted to having a nervous breakdown last year. Andrea is one of the kindest, loveliest people in the industry, but her speaking out really highlights the double standards in showbiz. When I talk about my mental health, I’m branded “unstable” and “unreliable”. But Andrea, and others like Ant McPartlin, can talk openly about their struggles and are lauded as “brave” and “inspiring” and get to carry on hosting prime-time shows. But me? I’m a car crash, apparently.

I’m all for Andrea and Ant opening up, but let’s not pick and choose who we save our support for – everyone has struggles.

Sexy stand-in

No wonder viewing figures went through the roof when Joe Wicks’ wife Rosie stepped up to co-host his PE lessons online last week. I bet a fair few dads got off the couch to do a bit of exercise with her leading the way!

She’s gorgeous and did very well, but it got me thinking whether or not I could be a substitute for my Ryan if he couldn’t make a PT session. I’d be better at standing there telling people what to do rather than showing them – I think I’ll leave the heavy lifting to my man!

Lockdown losers

We’ve been in quarantine for what seems like such a long time, so it feels a bit inevitable that youngsters will get restless and go out and meet up. I saw last week that YouTuber Jack Maynard and his pop star brother Conor broke lockdown rules by partying together.

I understand it’s frustrating, but please, please stay in until we’re told otherwise. The sooner we all start abiding by the rules, the sooner this whole thing will be over.
