Katie Price has exposed improper Covid checks at Heathrow Airport after she claimed she wasn’t asked for a negative test following her holiday in Portugal.

The TV personality, who recently celebrated her 43rd birthday with her husband-to-be, raised her concerns in a video message via her Instagram stories to share her experience with her 2.6 million followers online after landing in the UK.

The former glamour model, 43, made the spur of the moment decision to visit the popular holiday destination with her fiancé Carl Woods, 31, after the government announced they had eased lockdown restrictions and allowed residents to travel outside of the boarders last week.

The newly engaged couple, who are hoping to conceive a child on their 'baby-making holiday', decided to jet off to one of the beautiful towns in Portugal, which has been classified as a green-listed country – meaning holiday goers do not need to quarantine when they return from their break.

One of the conditions for these green-listed countries is that all travellers must produce a negative Covid test before returning along with a PCR test two days after they land.

However, the mum-of-five has spoken out against these conditions and has claimed that she wasn’t asked about her Covid test or the results and was made to share a carousel with travellers arriving in to the UK from an amber-listed country.

For those visiting countries listed under amber conditions, travellers must take a Covid test before they arrive in the UK, they must book and pay for two further Covid tests to be taken in the two weeks after they arrive in the UK, and quarantine at home for 14 days.

Katie swiftly took to Instagram to share her concerns for the lack of precautionary measures in place at one of the biggest airports in the UK after the country opened boarders to visitors and residents once more.

Her friend explained: “We just went through passport control and no-one asked to see our passenger locator form, no-one asked to see proof of a negative Covid test.”

Katie chimed: “All the measures that are supposed to be in place, don’t exist.

“They didn’t ask to see our PCR test when we landed.”

As the group made their way through the airport, Katie pointed out that a flight from Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria, would also be on the same carousel despite being listed under different Covid restrictions.

She added: “If you look on that list some of those places are on the amber list and they are due to come in this hall where we are now which means we are going to cross paths and some of them need to quarantine.”

The group's bags were stored amongst those whose owners who had been to amber-listed countries increasing the chances of infection from the deadly virus.

Following the ease of lockdown restrictions, up to 100,000 Brits are predicted to follow suit and jet off the Spain this week alone, despite being on the amber list.

Eager holidaymakers have begun to descend to the popular holiday vacation after the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced they would allow British residents access to their country without proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test.
