Katie Price was left "horrified" after her so called "mucky mansion" went up in flames.

The 42 year old is currently in the process of moving in with her 31 year old boyfriend Carl Woods, so luckily wasn't in her West Sussex home at the time of the blaze.

Neighbours called the fire brigade after the side of her £2million mansion appeared to set on fire.

It is believed that the former glamour model’s caretaker had a bonfire at the side of the house, which caused the home Katie shares with her five children to set alight.

A source told The Sun Online: "Katie was horrified when she was called about the fire – apparently the caretaker built a huge fire right next to the house, and when it went up the side of the house was covered in flames.

"It was a huge fire – a neighbour called the fire brigade thinking the house was burning down.

"It was put out in the end but you could see the smoke billowing across the road. She says the house is cursed.

"However, she's focused on her new life living with Carl now and there's so many good things going on in her life she's firmly focused on the future."

A representative for the former Celebrity Big Brother winner confirmed the news overnight, saying: "I can confirm there was a fire on the grounds but no serious damage to the building.

"Eyewitnesses reported to the emergency services that the the house was on fire but thankfully it was brought safely under control before any serious damage was done to the building."

The news of the blaze comes after Katie's new Love Island star boyfriend Carl agreed to have a baby with her.

In the first video uploaded to the couple's new YouTube channel, Katie opens up on her plans for more children, with Carl admitting he doesn't want to be "an old dad."

Katie handed Carl a bag of items she had bought, filming the former Love Island's stars reactions to her purchases.

As Carl lifted an ovulation test out of the bag, he said: "We need to know, don't we? I don't want to be an old dad, do you want to be an old mum?"

Katie joked: "I already am, but I'd like to be older," as Carl went on: "We need to know so I think it's a really good idea. Did you get this today? Why did you buy it?"

She responded: "For the same reason you said, because of our discussions that we've had."

"Our discussions about having kids," Carl reiterated, continuing: "This is important because if you're coming to move in, we're taking steps so I'm glad that you got it. It's actually kind of cute that you thought of it."
