Joey Essex was robbed of "thousands of pounds worth" of designer accessories when his £3 million home was targeted by thieves earlier this month, it has been revealed.

The former TOWIE star's home was robbed while he was out with friends. The 31 year old returned home in the early hours of the morning to find an upstairs window open and promptly called the police.

Following initial reports stating how Joey's house had been "ransacked," details of the items allegedly taken have now been revealed.

The items missing allegedly include a back Fendi rucksack worth £4,500 and a mustard Louis Vuitton weekend bag.

MailOnline reports the LV bag's worth as £2,500, while a £1,900 grey Maison Goyard cross-body bag is also believed to have been taken.

OK! has contacted Joey's representative for further comment.

Joey previously shared a picture of the Louis Vuitton holdall on Instagram, posting a sweet snap that showed his cat Pringle hiding in the bag.

Joey was on a night out with friend James ‘Diags’ Bennewith at the time of the robbery, a source previously revealed.

They added: "Thieves had thoroughly ransacked the place. Joey was horrified and very shaken. It’s made him feel unsafe in the home. The only thing to be grateful for is he was out when it happened.'"

Essex Police confirmed they were investigating a break-in at a four-bed property in Chigwell, Essex.

Joey bought his luxurious home in 2014 when he was just 24 years old for a rumoured £1.6 million. It has appeared on Loose Women, This Morning, and the re-vamped MTV show Cribs, giving fans a good look around the interior.

The house features a ‘posh room', which Joey describes as the room he uses if he "has a girl around" or if he has family visiting.

The room includes cream floor to ceiling wooden panels, cream carpet and a huge cream corner sofa. His bedroom includes a bed with a spiked and studded leather headboard and purple bedding.
