The likes of Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Emma Raducanu, Lil Nas X and Brooklyn Beckham attended the star-studded Met Gala 2021 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City last night. Not one to hold back on his opinion, Piers Morgan, 56, has shared his thoughts about some of the attendees’ choice of attire.
The 56-year-old journalist went straight in with his opinion in his latest Mail Online column, writing: “Where do I even start with this towering monument to hilarious hypocrisy and horrifically hideous ‘haute couture’?”
In a swipe at model Cara Delevinge, he said her outfit was a “supremely ironic piece of virtue-signalling for an event run by rich successful women and mostly populated by rich successful women”.
The presenter went on to blast American politician and activist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a hypocrite.
The 31-year-old sported a controversial white dress which featured the words: “Tax the rich.”

He said Mayor Bill de Blasio was also a hypocrite after he previously boycotted the “elite” event saying he “wasn’t an elite guy”.
Piers went on to brand Brooklyn Beckham a “D-lister” who he claimed is only famous due to his dad David.
Victoria and David’s eldest son posed for snaps on the red carpet alongside his wife-to-be Nicola Peltz.
The father-of-four also had a few negative words to say about other guests including Billie Eilish.
He claimed the singer looked like a “giant pink blancmange” and took a swipe at Serena Williams, who he likened to an “unkempt sheep”.
The ex Good Morning Britain also couldn’t resist taking another swipe at Naomi Osaka.
The 23-year-old sported a colourful corseted gown with ruffled silk over her arms.
She completed her look with dramatic eye make-up and bright red lipstick.

Piers claimed the athlete appeared “sulky-faced” and said her outfit screamed ‘GIVE ME ATTENTION!’
It’s not the first time he has taken a swipe at the tennis star.
Back in May, he criticised her for pulling out of the French Open.
The four-time Grand slam singles champion cited mental health issues as her reason for withdrawing.
Piers branded Naomi an “arrogant spoiled brat” for refusing to speak to the media at the tournament.
He added of her reason for pulling out: “This has got nothing to do with mental health.
“What Osaka really means is that she doesn’t want to face the media if she hasn’t played well, because the beastly journalists might actually dare to criticise her performance.”
The father-of-four went on to say he didn’t dislike all outfits from the Gala and praised Kaia Gerber’s attire as “beautifully elegant”.
He went on to say he liked Channing Tatum’s simple look which consisted of a plain black tuxedo and bow tie.
