Helen Skelton laughs as an alpaca tries to eat her script

Countryfile and This Week On The Farm star Helen Skelton, 37, said she always gets asked about her jackets, including a shearling one which she was recently seen wearing on the show. Taking to Instagram this week, she said her co-stars including Jules Hudson mocked her choice of clothing.

Helen was seen wearing the French Connection jacket with a roll neck jumper, jeans and boots.

Taking to her Instagram story, she told fans where she got the item from along with her shoes.

The presenter followed up her post writing: “@thejuleshudson and a certain pair of Barnsley farmers seem to think I have lost my plane…”

Helen also shared snaps of her wearing the jacket on the farm as she posed alongside animals.

She wrote: “I always get asked about jackets because let’s be honest walking is all we can do at the min!

“This little treat is @FCUK it’s in now. #loan.”

Alongside a picture on Instagram, she flashed a smile as she posed alongside a pony.

She commented: “My little pony…. well he’s actually a @cannonhallfarm resident. Series continues this eve 8 pm @channel5_tv.”

Many of her 236,000 followers flocked to her post to comment.

One user wrote: “Great series on the farm.”

“Gorgeous lady,” a second commented while a third added: “No you can’t take him home Helen. Looking forward to tonight’s programme.”

A fourth added: “Lovely picture Helen. Gorgeous pony.”

On Twitter, Helen also shared a video of an alpaca trying to eat her script.

“There’s an alpaca on my script,” she said as she tried to pull the paper away.

“I need this! I don’t know what’s in the programme otherwise,” she laughed.

As she continued to battle with the alpaca, she said to the camera: “Seriously, can someone get this alpaca a snack?”

After finally getting the paper out of its mouth, she added: “Now she’s annoyed,” as the alpaca continued to follow her.

The mother-of-two also used her platform to thank viewers for watching the successful show.

“Thanks for watching. @onthefarmc5 good times, with good people.

“Feeling very grateful for their company and yours xxxx,” she wrote.

This Week on the Farm airs Thursdays at 8pm on Channel 5.
