Soap actress Helen Flanagan has reunited with her former fiancé Scott Sinclair to celebrate Christmas as a family.

The pair split earlier this year after 13 years together in a heartbreaking break up after revealing their careers had led to spells living apart.

Helen and Scott are parents to three children; Charlie, one, Matilda, six, and Delilah, three.

Despite their recent separation, the former flames decided to put on a united front for Christmas and celebrate as a family. Helen showed the heartwarming festive fun in clips to her Instagram, as she filmed doting dad Scott giving the children one of their presents.

In the Instagram clip, Scott can be seen coming into the family home with a mystery cardboard box containing two guinea pigs inside. Spotting the box, the youngsters grow excited and beam at both parents for their present.

Eldest daughter Matilda can be seen playing with the small furry additions to the family as she explains their names of Snowball and Snowflake. She adds that her "dreams had come true" as the family welcomed their new pets.

Sharing the snap with her 1 million followrs, Helen captioned the cute clip: "Christmas Eve, sending love. Matilda has asked me for a pet since forever and really wanted a Guinea pig. Delilah wasn’t too sure but I think she’s warming to it."

Fans rushed to praise the pair for co-parenting so well. One fan commented: "So lovely to see a fab coparenting couple."

Another added: "Can I just say how incredible this coparenting is! WOW!"

"Well done mummy and daddy her wee face," said a third.

Despite Scott and Helen calling it quits earlier this year, insiders revealed the pair had agreed to spend Christmas together for the sake of the children.

A source told The Sun: "Helen’s sole focus is the three children she shares with Scott and they want to make this Christmas as ‘normal’ as possible."

They continued: "Although they’re no longer together they will work together to make it magical for the kids.

"Helen is not open to talk of reconciliation and she just wants them to focus on being co-parents."

The pair split after dating for 13 years after getting together in 2009. After hitting a relationship rough patch this summer, the couple decided to end their relationship and their engagement.
