Rita Simons has reportedly moved on from her split from her husband Theo Silveston after finding love with a theatre colleague.

The ex EastEnders star, 43, is reported to be dating her Legally Blonde The Musical co-star Ben Harlow, weeks after it was revealed she has split from her husband.

Rita, who played Roxy Mitchell on the BBC soap for ten years, toured with actor Ben as part of the production between September 2017 and June 2018.

During the production, Rita played salon owner Paulette Bonafonte while Ben played her love interest, UPS delivery driver Kyle.

Two years after appearing alongside the musical together, Rita has reportedly been seen heading on a trip with Ben and her dog Harry.

Rita’s boot was said to be filled with bags, ready for an overnight stay, according to The Sun Online.

The pair were understood to have stopped at a service station in Birmingham to top up on supplies before hitting the road once more.

Rita and Ben’s sighting comes a month after it was revealed she had split from her husband Theo Sileston after 14 years of marriage.

As reports came out, Rita’s representative confirmed the pair had quietly split “some time ago”.

Rita’s agent told the publication: “Rita and Theo have been separated for almost two years and Theo moved out of the family home some time ago.

“They are currently finalising their divorce, and amicably co-parenting their two daughters."

The pair are thought to have split on good terms and continue to co-parent their twin daughters, Jamiee and Maiya, 14.

Rita’s ex Theo is thought to have moved out of the family home in Elstree, Hertfordshire, and a source has told the Daily Star that Rita knows the split was the “right decision”.

“The split has been a big change for Rita, but she knows it's the right decision,” said the insider.

They continued: “She and Theo are still on good terms, which has made everything a lot easier.”

Rita and hairdresser Theo married in 2004 after she popped the question.

She previously opened up to Mirror Online about her decision to propose to her man.

She explained: “One day I thought: 'What are you waiting for?' and being an impulsive person I went home and asked him to marry me outright.

“He couldn't speak for about half an hour he was that shocked.”
