Death in Paradise: Josephine Jobert shares crab story

French actress Josephine Jobert, best known for playing Detective Sergeant Florence Cassell in Death In Paradise, has issued a warning via social media. The BBC One star took to Instagram after discovering a fake account in her name.

The 35-year-old snapped a screenshot of the unverified listing to share with her 71,300 followers.

She captioned it simply: “Fake,” before sharing a little more information.

“This is not my account,” Josephine wrote online.

“Know that I only have one which is the one I’m using right now (this is certified).

“Don’t respond to any messages from other accounts pretending to be me,” she went on to warn.

Josephine joined the cast of Death In Paradise back in 2015 alongside actor Kris Marshall, who played DI Humphrey Goodman.

She went on to star in the detective drama until 2019, working with comedian Ardal O’Hanlon, who replaced Kris as lead detective Jack Mooney.

Her character quit the police force in the eighth series after the death of her fiancé Patrice Campbell (Leemore Marrett Jr).

Following the departure of Shyko Amos (Ruby Patterson) and Aude Legastelois-Bidé (DS Madeleine Dumas) from the show, the actress has reprised her role for series 10.

She now stars opposite Ralf Little, who plays Neville Parker.

The acting duo filmed the new series, which is currently on air, on the beautiful French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe last year.

Teasing her return to the show, Ralf and Josephine appeared in a social media video together.

The official Death In Paradise Twitter account shared the footage online back in July.

It read: “@RalfLittle is excited to be back and has a message for everyone back home!

“Hold on, who’s that he’s bumped into whilst learning his lines…?

In the clip Ralf said: “This year, we have a massive surprise for fans of the show, our old friend Josephine Jobert is back.”

“Hi everybody, so excited to be back for this new series,” the actress exclaimed as she popped into view.

Ralf and Josephine are joined by former CBBC star Tahj Miles, 18, in the new series.

Tobi Bakare (DS JP Hooper) and Don Warrington (Commissioner Patterson) will also return.

Death In Paradise continues Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
