Coldplay and BTS have topped the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart with their collaborative new single “My Universe.”

Coldplay earned their second Hot 100 No. 1 and first since 2008’s “Viva La Vida.” Meanwhile, BTS scored their sixth chart-topper and fourth of 2021.

The K-pop band’s previous No. 1’s include “Dynamite,” “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat),” featuring Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” and “My Universe.”

“My Universe,” which dropped on September 24 on Parlophone/Atlantic Records, is from Coldplay’s upcoming album Music of the Spheres, due out October 15.

“My Universe” earned 11.5 million U.S. streams and 5.5 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 127,000 downloads and physical singles combined in its first week, ending September 30, according to MRC Data.
