Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz made their support for Ukraine clear on Wednesday as they shared their wish for fans to donate to the crisis currently going on in the country.

The newlyweds posted their charitable requests on their individual Instagram pages days on from marrying in a £3million ceremony at Nicola’s £76 million family estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Brooklyn and Nicola told their joint 16.3 million followers that they did not want wedding gifts following the ceremony held on 9 April, instead asking for donations to be made to Ukraine as the region continues to be invaded and ravaged by Russian troops.

Posting a photo shot by Vogue taken of the couple walking down the aisle on Saturday, Brooklyn discussed on Instagram Stories how father-in-law Nelson Peltz spoke emotionally about the Ukraine war during his speech at the wedding.

“Nelson spoke about this in his speech at our wedding,” the 23 year old captioned.

"Nic and I are devastated about what is going on in Ukraine and have asked for donations to @careorg in lieu of wedding gifts.

"Our link is below. Anything helps."

Nicola posted the same wedding shot as she gave her words also, writing: “My dad spoke about this in his speech at our wedding… B and I are devastated about what is going on in Ukraine and have asked for donations to @Careorg in lieu of wedding gifts.

"Join Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham in providing life-saving aid to Ukrainians in need.

"Please consider making a donation in our names to help fund CARE's mission to save lives, defeat poverty, and advance social justice."

The couple have set up a donations page to Ukraine on aid support website CARE and so far offerings have ranged from $250-$10,000, with the option for guests visiting the site to contribute whatever amount they desire.

Brooklyn and Nicola’s plea to donate to the Ukrainian people in need follows a similar request Prince William and Kate Middleton made when they married in 2011 as they asked wedding guests to support a number of charities put forward by the couple.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also urged that invitees ahead of their 2018 wedding ceremony do the same, listing several charities to donate to on the official Royal Family website.
