Ant McPartlin’s divorce from Lisa Armstrong has reportedly been finalised, leaving him free to marry again.

A decree absolute was granted, which formally ended his 12-year marriage to Lisa.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s been an extremely difficult road with a lot of heartache and unpleasantness, but it’s finally done. It’s over.

‘Ant’s been desperate to start the next chapter of his life and at least now he and Anne-Marie can plan for the future. It won’t be long before they are married.’

Ant and Lisa married in July 2006 and, after they announced they were divorcing in January 2018 following 11 years of marriage, their union legally came to an end during a 30-second hearing in October that year.

The pair had allegedly agreed to sign a divorce settlement following face-to-face talks, in which he allegedly offered his former partner a ‘generous’ £31 million.

But makeup artist Lisa dismissed the reports. ‘Nope a load of nonsense AGAIN…’ she wrote in part in regards to a fan who posted the original article and claimed it was ‘well deserved’.

The I’m A Celeb presenter has been dating his girlfriend Anne-Marie for around two years, with the pair making their romance official six months after his split from Lisa.

Speaking previously about how their romance began, Ant told The Sun: ‘We were going through turmoil. It was the last thing on either of our minds to get into a relationship.

‘But there we were like, “This felt so good, why deny it.”‘

He added to the publication: ‘She is the most wonderful, true woman. And the way we are and when people see us together… They’ll see how honest and kind and happy we make each other.’
