Amy Dowden, 28, who previously revealed that she has to be careful as she suffers from Crohn’s Disease, has now expressed her concerns over her wedding plans going ahead while the coronavirus pandemic continues. The Strictly Come Dancing pro revealed her concerns to her former 2019 dance partner Karim Zeroual.

Hopefully our wedding still goes ahead.

While speaking to the presenter, 26, in a live Q&A about her current situation while isolating with her fiancé Benjamin, Amy said she will be continuing to get on with her wedding plans.

After he asked Amy how she will be keeping busy in the house, she said: “Driving Ben mad and obviously been looking into wedding plans, hopefully our wedding still goes ahead.”

Karim then added: “Crossing everything.”

Amy continued: “I’m going to be reaching out to everybody to set me challenges.

“I’m gunna set you challenges Karim, and you’re going to set me challenges.”

Before the Strictly Come Dancing professional revealed her worries about the big day going ahead as planned, Amy stated that she is a “very busy bee”.

As the Latin American dancer reflected on her time on Strictly Come Dancing with Karim, she said: “I am a very busy bee, as you know Karim, you’re always telling me to slow down and take a break.”

He agreed with his dance partner and responded: “I can’t imagine how you must be feeling right now.”

Karim, the CBBC presenter, also added that he was “so proud” to see Amy venture off on holiday prior to the coronavirus outbreak.

He said: “The girl doesn’t stop.

“I don’t think you lot understand, I was so proud to see you go on holiday!”

After Amy told viewers about the break she had after the Strictly final, the presenter told her: “Just even her sitting down makes me well up a bit.

“She just doesn’t stop. So you must be really struggling,” Karim added.

The Strictly pro then went on to talk about how she’s feeling about being “quite careful” while the coronavirus continues to spread.

Amy went on to say: “Because I’ve been poorly I still have to be quite careful. So that was last week really, so today is my first official day of isolation.”

The star then said she aims to sort out her and Benjamin’s house while taking it easy.

The Strictly finalist continued: “And I’ve been on the go, so I’ve done some dancing videos and because I live out of a suitcase the office is so full, so I’m going to slowly sort out the house.”

Amy, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease when she was 19-years-old, was recently in hospital with her condition and apologised for being “so quiet” to her 160,000 followers on Instagram.

The dancer wrote: “Sorry I’ve been so quiet, unfortunately [I’m] in hospital with my condition.”

She then took the opportunity to thank the NHS for working “so hard”, as she continued: “The NHS are working so hard and we are so lucky to have them.

“Stay safe and healthy all. Lots of love to you all.”
