Priyanka Chopra has officially graced the 2023 Met Gala white carpet, and her look is worth a double — make that triple — take. The theme for this year is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” and guests have been paying tribute to the late designer with both their fashion and beauty choices.

Last year, Chopra and husband Nick Jonas opted to skip out on the star-studded event, most likely due to the fact that they had just welcomed a baby girl via surrogacy. This year, it seems as though the couple decided to go all out for their return to the red carpet. Chopra popped up at the event wearing a black strapless Valentino gown with a daring thigh-high slit and a black-and-white cape. Jonas opted for black pants and a leather blazer with a skinny tie, a look taken straight out of Lagerfeld’s book. Our eyes, however, were locked on Chopra’s hair, which featured an updo with a hidden bow detail woven throughout, punctuated with a side-swept part.

To get her red carpet glow, Chopra started out her Met Gala prep with the Face Gym Cryo Contour Workout, then celebrity makeup artist Sarah Tanno worked her magic to create Chopra’s stunning Met Gala look. To start, Tanno prepped Chopra’s skin by cleansing it with the AgeLOC LumiSpa Cleanser ($50), toning with the Nutricentials Bioadaptive In Balance pH Balance Toner ($21), and appylying the Nu Skin Tru Essence Ultra Uplifting Cream ($133) to make sure Chopra had a flawless base. From there, they opted for a subtle, romantic look featuring soft pinks.

Of the look, Tanno tells POPSUGAR, “I love this quote by Karl Lagerfeld, and it inspired our beauty look tonight: ‘I love classic beauty. It’s an idea of beauty with no standard.’ Priyanka is incredibly glamorous; we wanted to lean into that with a classic and modern glam with gorgeous skin, fluffy lashes, a rose-toned lip and cheeks, and a classic winged liner.”
