A body positive influencer has claimed that social media is not “entirely real” after exposing how her fellow influencers fake a “peachy” bum.

Boasting 2.4 million Instagram followers, Danae Mercer often preaches messages of self-love to her large fan base.

She aims to help women accept their own bodies, which is refreshing to see amongst the seemingly ‘perfect’ snaps of other influencers.

In a recent clip, Danae showed the online world is not fully true by demonstrating how some influencers can manipulate their bodies.

And, by what she has shown, it all comes down to the power of posing – and a serious wedgie.

At first, the stunner donned a red gym wear set as she sat “normally” on a white stool.

To show how other influencers contort their bodies to achieve a peachy behind, Danae switched to a blue gym set that had a ruched seam at the rear.

She then gave herself a wedgie and posed up a storm.

The influencer followed several other steps too, which she explained in a lengthy caption.

Danae said: “The secret to INFLUENCER PEACHY SITTING POSES. But! Before I dive into the technique.

“Let me stress yet again: Online is curated. Your bum is great. And you’ve got this girl."

The influencer then described how a bigger bottom can be achieved with a few tricks.

Ok, here’s how they do it:

  • Wedgie – This creates cheek definition and makes a HUGE difference with light
  • Legs wide – This makes the peach look bigger by pushing it out
  • Back cheek squeezing – This makes the back cheek all round and perky. Normally it would smoosh a bit, because that’s what skin does.
  • Body arching – This hides normal healthy back rolls, which occur from the twisted torso

“And bam, take ‘casual’ fitspo photo.

"I can make my tooshie look significantly larger by doing this.

"And hey, if you fancy pics like that? Go for it.

"But more importantly, remember it’s ok if you don’t. And if your tootie pabootie looks different to those you see on the internet."

Danae claimed: “Social media is not entirely real. And your bumbum is wonderful.

“Posed or relaxed or any way at all.”

Stunned at the lengths some people go through to achieve the ‘perfect’ peachy look, many people fled to the comments to thank Danae for showing the ‘reality’ behind snaps on social media.

One person praised: “You inspire me so much!! Thank you for all the uplifting content. It’s helped me tackle so many toxic habits and I’m so grateful for your page."

Another user added: “Love how you remind us it’s all smoke n mirrors.”

A third person noted: “I am so grateful for you and your posts – thank you for helping me learn not to tear my own appearance to shreds all the time.”

Someone else remarked: “Thank you. I love your videos! We all need these reminders. Social media can be such a blessing and a curse.”

Meanwhile, a fifth fan expressed: “I love your videos exposing the influencer industry so that everyone has a chance to see that this isn't real. You rock and are appreciated!”
